On the morning of January 12, 2024, at Ha Quang Garment Factory, Quang Binh, Garment Corporation 10 signed a contract to start the construction of rooftop solar power for production independent of grid power.

Leaders of Quang Binh province attended the ceremony with Mr. Pham Quang Hai - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province; Phan Van Thuong - Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board; Mr. Pham Quang Anh - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc. Mr. Pham Tien Nam - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.

Garment Corporation 10 was formerly an industrial corporation producing military clothing since 1946 in the Viet Bac war zone and moved to Hanoi in 1956. With nearly 80 years of construction and development, Garment 10 has always excellently completed assigned tasks and surpassed the goals set by the company itself, while affirming its position and making important contributions to the process of building and developing the Vietnamese economy.

Currently, May 10 has 18 member companies/companies and joint ventures located in 8 provinces and cities. Each year, May 10 produces about 30 million high-quality products such as shirts, suits; trousers, jackets; creating stable jobs for more than 12,000 workers. The company mainly exports to the US, Europe and Japan markets, and has hundreds of stores and agents nationwide to serve the domestic market.

With nearly 80 years of experience, May 10 is always responsible to society and the community by producing environmentally friendly products towards sustainable development. The company has cooperated with reputable suppliers to produce fashion products from natural materials such as nano fabric, bamboo fiber fabric, oak wood, coffee fiber fabric. May 10 also increases investment in water circulation systems, boiler treatment, solar power... and focuses on traceability of raw materials, meeting the requirements of recycling, product life cycle, clean materials and high recyclability. May 10 also cooperates with customers and partners to implement green production requirements, sustainable development and circular economy.

In recent years, the company has implemented many green production projects using renewable energy. For example, the Bim Son - Thanh Hoa garment factory has installed a solar panel system with a capacity of 838 Kwp, while the Vetston Hung Ha - Thai Binh factory has a capacity of 999.9 Kwp. Today, January 12, 2024, the company also signed a cooperation agreement to invest in a renewable energy system at the Ha Quang Garment Factory, with a designed capacity of 639 Kwp. In the future, the company will also implement similar projects at its headquarters in Hanoi and the Thai Ha - Thai Binh factory project as well as other units of the Corporation.

Thanks to its energy-saving and efficient activities, May 10 has received many awards, including "Green Energy 2022" and "Top 10 Strong Brands - Green Growth 2022-2023". May 10 was also honored as one of the "Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam 2023".

Hanoi People's Committee has awarded May 10 the 5-star title "Green Energy 2022" to show honor and implement the project.
