Quang Binh: Strengthening propaganda and mobilizing women and farmers to participate in voluntary social insurance and health insurance

In particular, the model of "Farmer and female members participating in health insurance" has been implemented since the end of 2023 in many localities, bringing many positive results. By the end of 2024, the number of farmer and female members participating in health insurance in 11 communes and wards implementing the model was 11,627 people, an increase of 1,187 people compared to December 31, 2023 (equivalent to an increase of 9.7%). The rate of members participating in health insurance in the models reached 95.08% compared to the total number of members. However, the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance is still limited due to many reasons.

At the conference, Director of Quang Binh Social Insurance Tran Anh Tuan pointed out the limitations and difficulties as well as evaluated the advantages of the activities and models. Delegates also made objective assessments to highlight the shortcomings that need to be overcome and the innovations that need to be implemented to more effectively implement tasks in the new situation, including the requirement to closely follow the locality, the grassroots and understand the thoughts and aspirations of the people to provide the most sustainable benefits.

Delegates give comments on the draft plan for 2025

Delegates discuss the development of the number of women and farmers participating in voluntary social insurance in localities.

Units signed a program to coordinate the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies and laws in 2025.

Through discussion, the units agreed on the target of increasing the proportion of members of the Farmers' Association and Women's Union participating in voluntary social insurance by 10% in 2025 compared to 2024; regarding health insurance, the proportion of members participating will reach 95% of the total number of farmers and women. At the same time, continue to promote and innovate both the content and methods of organizing activities to contribute to further raising the awareness of members and Union officials at all levels about their responsibilities, obligations and rights in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's laws on social insurance and health insurance policies, towards the goal of "social insurance for all workers, health insurance for all people".
