Trade Promotion Agency Party Committee: 'Determined and dedicated' for the new term

On the morning of March 31, the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency for the 2025 - 2030 term took place successfully.

Completed 3/3 of the resolution targets

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency has always received attention and close direction from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in implementing the Central Resolutions on Party building and socio-economic development, trade development, import and export and market development.

The Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Department has united, joined hands, and unanimously implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the direction of the Party Committees at all levels, ensuring the successful completion of assigned tasks.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Department, emphasized that during the past term, all Party members of the Trade Promotion Department were active in their work and successfully completed assigned political tasks.

“Party committees at all levels have proactively and creatively implemented effectively Directive No. 05 on 'Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle', Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (12th tenure) on 'Strengthening Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle and manifestations of 'self-evolution' and 'self-transformation' within the Party', those results have contributed positively to the success of the Trade Promotion Agency Party Congress" , Director Vu Ba Phu affirmed.

In addition, the political report presented to the congress clearly stated that the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency has closely followed the direction of the Party Executive Committee and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, promoted the spirit of initiative, creativity, and exemplary behavior, successfully completed and exceeded 3/3 of the targets of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Agency for the 2020-2025 term.

Specifically, the Party Committee maintained the standards of purity and strength, successfully completing assigned tasks; 100% of Party members completed their tasks, of which 15-20% achieved excellent results; exceeding the Party admission target with 8 outstanding members and masses. These results affirmed the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the entire Party Committee throughout the term.

In addition, the report also frankly pointed out the existing shortcomings and limitations. The trend of globalization, cooperation and development, green transformation and application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities is an inevitable trend, requiring the Trade Promotion Department to continue to innovate and diversify trade promotion methods, while strengthening state management in organizing trade promotion activities, developing import and export to contribute to trade facilitation, combating trade fraud, towards fair trade, improving and rationalizing the trade balance with partners.

Improving competitiveness in the new term

At the congress, reports on education, politics, ideology, and issues within the functions and tasks of the Trade Promotion Agency were also presented.

Regarding the leadership and direction of the Party Committee in the task of developing Party members in the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Department, the Party Committee of the Department focuses on political training, ideological education, admission and capacity improvement of Party members. Management, inspection and supervision work is strictly implemented. During the last term, the Party Committee exceeded the target with 12 new Party members, 11 accepted Party members, 23 cases of transfer of activities, ensuring quality.

One of the key tasks is to strengthen deep international integration in the field of trade promotion. During the 2020-2025 term, the Trade Promotion Agency negotiated and signed nearly 30 international agreements, expanded the network of partners, and promoted economic integration.

The management and licensing of international conferences and seminars are strictly implemented with 70-80 events per year. In particular, the Trade Promotion Department has successfully negotiated and promoted the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Hainan, China, creating a foundation to support businesses in exploiting this market.

The presentation "International cooperation in trade promotion" clearly stated that the Trade Promotion Agency identified four key solutions to promote international cooperation in the field of trade promotion.

The Trade Promotion Agency will expand its network of partners, promote the signing of cooperation agreements and effectively operate Vietnamese trade promotion offices abroad, first in Hainan (China), then expand to other strategic locations. At the same time, the Agency will improve the quality of conferences and business forums, promote connections and promote export brands. In addition, the Agency will strengthen international cooperation, implement programs to support small and medium-sized enterprises, effectively utilize FTAs ​​and improve competitiveness in the context of deep integration.

At the congress, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan commended the outstanding achievements of the Department's Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term, especially in maintaining solidarity, promoting the principle of democratic centralism, and excellently completing assigned political tasks.

“The Trade Promotion Agency has organized many important trade promotion events, connecting domestic and foreign enterprises, promoting foreign relations, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan affirmed.

Entering the new term, the Deputy Minister requested the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency to focus on key tasks. First of all, it is necessary to closely follow the leadership of the Party Committee of the Ministry, promote ideological work, discipline and order in the entire Party Committee. At the same time, improving the quality of cadres and party members must be focused on, especially specialized training to meet the requirements of integration and development.

In addition, the Party Committee needs to improve its working regulations, ensure transparency in the assignment of tasks, and strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of the resolution. Innovation in the content and methods of Party activities is also an urgent requirement to improve the leadership capacity of the Party Committee.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of inspection and supervision work, especially corruption prevention and control, contributing to building a clean and strong Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency.

Through the congress resolution, the entire congress agreed to set a number of important targets to improve the quality of operations and sustainable development with the general goal of the Party Committee of the Trade Promotion Agency for the 2025 - 2030 term being "Resolute in directing, leading, and operating, clearly defining personal responsibilities, especially the leaders; upholding the sense of responsibility, dedication, and devotion to work; meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation; not degenerating in ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle; not "self-evolution" or "self-transformation" internally; promoting the vanguard, exemplary role, "both red and professional" of cadres and party members to ensure the excellent completion of political tasks and Party building work of the Trade Promotion Agency for the 2025 - 2030 term".

In addition, the Party Committee of the Department strives to fulfill its annual tasks well, maintaining the standards of purity and strength. 100% of Party members will fulfill their tasks well, of which 15-20% will achieve excellent performance. Party development work is also focused on with the goal of admitting at least 5 outstanding youth union members and active masses into the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Party Committee will complete the development and implementation of the working regulations of the Party Committee, ensuring the implementation of the grassroots democracy regulations in accordance with regulations. The tasks in the Ministry's programs and plans will be fully implemented, achieving a completion rate of 100%.

Inspection and supervision work will be carried out regularly, according to the set program, to ensure transparency and efficiency in all activities. At the same time, the Party Committee will focus on leading and supporting the Trade Union and Youth Union to develop strongly, contributing to improving the spiritual life of cadres and employees in the entire unit.
