destined for teaching
Born and raised in Cao Bang, Be Thuy Trinh, a Tay ethnic, had a difficult childhood. Her father died at a young age, and her mother had to take care of the family and raise her two children alone. It was during those difficult days that she developed the will to rise up, seeing education as the only way to change her life.

In 2009, she passed the entrance exam to Hanoi National University of Education. After 4 years of studying, in 2013, Ms. Trinh graduated, decided to return to contribute to her homeland and accepted a job at Tra Linh High School, Tra Linh District, Cao Bang Province.
In her first days of teaching, she had to travel nearly 40 km from early morning on rugged mountainous terrain, especially difficult in the cold winter to get to school.
But it was her love for her job and her students that helped her overcome everything. From 2020 until now, she has been transferred to Cao Bang City High School to teach geography.
During her 10 years of working in the highland education sector, Ms. Trinh is not only a dedicated teacher but also a mother and a second sister to the students here. She confided about the first class she was in charge of: "At first, I had a lot of difficulties in managing the class, because at that time I was young, not much older than the students, they had many personalities so they did not listen to me.
But gradually I just did my best and cared for them every day. When they graduated, I was very touched when they ran to hug me and called me "young mother" in unison.
Until now, that is still the greatest happiness that the profession brings me."

In teaching, Ms. Trinh is an active person in applying information technology to lessons. She is also a pioneer in using Canva software in teaching geography at school, helping students feel the knowledge more vivid and interested in the subject.
She believes that a teacher must always learn, explore, and innovate teaching methods so that students can absorb knowledge more easily. For her, teaching is not simply about imparting knowledge, but more importantly, it is about arousing love for the homeland and country, helping students better understand the value of life.
Enthusiastic about Youth Union work
Not only a teacher on the podium, Ms. Trinh is also an active Youth Union officer, contributing to organizing many meaningful activities. Currently, she holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Cao Bang City High School.
For her, the Youth Union plays a very important role in helping students in mountainous areas participate in extracurricular activities, get closer to information technology, thereby encouraging them to overcome difficulties in going to school, develop themselves, and live an active and healthy life.
The female teacher added: "Working for the Youth Union is not only a responsibility, but also a passion that helps me get closer to my students, understand and share with them more."

Every school year, she and the School Youth Union organize many activities and extracurricular programs for students, popularize laws, volunteer movements on the spot and volunteer for community life, English Olympic competitions...
Over the past year, her ideas and initiatives have brought about many innovations in the school's teaching methods such as "Innovating the form of flag-salute activities to promote the pioneering spirit of youth union members in the new era" or "Promoting the creativity of youth union members through innovating the activities of school clubs"...
Among them, the thing she is most proud of is the initiative to build the confession "Sound of life".
Based on her concerns about helping students reduce stress in their studies, she proposed the idea of creating a virtual mailbox where students could listen to their confidences and help them express themselves.
Since March 2024, the Radio program "Sounds of Life" has been broadcast regularly every Friday morning and has received a great response from students and teachers in the school with more than 1,700 song requests and more than 200 letters of confidences through the virtual mailbox.
"At first, I only hoped that during recess, the program would help the children relieve stress after each class. Each letter has a story, I feel more connected to the children after each broadcast, seeing their smiles is the motivation for me to continue trying," she confided.
Ms. Be Thi Trinh's initiatives were recognized by Cao Bang City Youth Union and awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements in the 2023-2024 school year.
In 2024, she also achieved a series of noble titles such as: Central-level Outstanding Young Teacher Award, Cao Bang Province Outstanding Young Teacher, Excellent Base Emulation Fighter, Excellent High School Teacher at the provincial level,...

More specifically, with her efforts and endeavors, she was recently honored to become one of two representatives of Cao Bang province to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2025 - an award given to outstanding Youth Union officials nationwide, with outstanding achievements in work, contributing to promoting the youth movement and the development of the local Youth Union organization.
Sharing her feelings when receiving the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2025, Ms. Trinh said: "I feel very proud and moved because it is a great recognition for my efforts in the Youth Union and professional work in the past time.
It is even more valuable because this is not only my personal achievement, but also the solidarity and joint activities of the School Youth Union."
"When the flame of dedication still burns in our hearts, youth still exists, it will urge us to be more creative and dynamic for the youth of the new era," this teacher born in 1991 affirmed.
