Urgently complete measles vaccination campaign

In order to control the measles epidemic that is showing signs of increasing, the Vinh Phuc Health sector is urgently completing the Expanded Immunization Campaign in localities in the province with the goal of vaccinating more than 10,200 children against measles by March.

As soon as they received the notice, many parents took their children to the local health station to get vaccinated against measles, because in the context of the current complicated measles epidemic, vaccination is the most effective disease prevention measure.

To implement the vaccination campaign, Vinh Yen city has screened children of the age who have not been vaccinated or have not received enough doses of vaccines to encourage them to be fully vaccinated. It is expected that more than 600 children will be vaccinated in this phase, including children from 6 months to under 9 months; children from 1-5 years old and children from 6-10 years old.

In addition to informing and checking so that groups of children can get vaccinated fully and on schedule, ensuring vaccination safety is a top priority. At health stations, reception desks, screening examination desks, vaccination desks, emergency areas and post-vaccination monitoring areas have been arranged to ensure one-way standards.

With the goal of increasing the rate of measles immunity in the community, it is expected that over 10,200 children in the province will be vaccinated against measles during this period. Along with that, the health sector will review and mobilize children to receive catch-up vaccinations and catch-up vaccinations for children who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated, ensuring that 95% of children of vaccination age are vaccinated against measles according to the Ministry of Health's targets./.
