(NLDO)- On the afternoon of March 11, during his official visit to Singapore, General Secretary To Lam received representatives of typical businesses in Singapore.
According to the special correspondent of VNA, receiving Ms. Tran Thi Lam, Advisor of Shangri-La Healthcare Investment Company, co-founder of Hoa Lam Shangri-La Healthcare Limited Liability Company, the General Secretary welcomed and highly appreciated the company's cooperation activities with Vietnamese partners over the past nearly 20 years in the fields of medicine and health care.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Lam presented on business activities and key planning orientations in Vietnam in the coming time; expressed her desire to continue investing effectively in Vietnam with high-tech medical zone projects and promote cooperation, business connection, and investment promotion in the coming time.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that developing the healthcare system is one of the top priorities in Vietnam's socio-economic development strategy. Vietnam needs support from international investors, especially investors from Singapore with a lot of experience and strengths in this field.
The General Secretary suggested that Shangri-La Healthcare Investment continue to promote investment in health technology, produce high-tech, quality medical equipment in Vietnam to meet people's needs and increase technology transfer to Vietnamese partners in the coming time.
Receiving Mr. Lim Boon Heng, Chairman of Temasek Group, General Secretary To Lam assessed that Temasek Group's investment activities demonstrate the interest and support of the Singaporean Government and business community for Vietnam.
Mr Lim Boon Heng said the Group currently manages a portfolio in the fields of energy and resources, telecommunications and media, financial services, real estate, transportation and logistics serving technology infrastructure, food and beverage, biotechnology and healthcare.

Mr. Lim Boon Heng shared his investment interests and wishes to continue cooperation in renewable energy and green energy in Vietnam.
The General Secretary said that in 2025, Vietnam aims to achieve a growth rate of 8% or more to create momentum, create momentum, and create momentum for the following years to achieve double-digit growth. Therefore, Vietnam continues to prioritize promoting the attraction of large-scale FDI projects to create a breakthrough and new driving force for growth.

Receiving Mr. Tow Heng Tan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sembcorp Group, the General Secretary highly appreciated the development of the VSIP industrial park model. This is a quite successful cooperation model between Vietnam and Singapore.
Mr. Tow Heng Tan proposed a pilot policy for VSIP Industrial Park and said that in addition to developing industrial infrastructure, Sembcorp Group wishes to invest heavily in the electricity industry in Vietnam, especially renewable energy and gas turbines in the near future; hoping that the governments of the two countries will consider jointly developing training programs and cooperation in the field of offshore wind power.

General Secretary To Lam said that the Vietnamese Government is currently considering adjusting the Electricity Plan towards strongly developing renewable energy sources. Vietnam welcomes foreign enterprises, including Sembcorp, to invest in the electricity sector in Vietnam, especially clean and renewable energy.
Vietnam commits to accompany Sembcorp to support and facilitate the Group's effective and successful business investment activities in Vietnam.
Receiving Mr. Louis Lim, CEO of Keppel Real Estate, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the effective investment and business activities in Vietnam in recent times; welcomed and encouraged Keppel Group to expand investment in the fields of renewable energy, green infrastructure, information technology, smart cities... in line with Vietnam's investment attraction priorities in the coming time.

Mr. Louis Lim affirmed that Keppel Group has been operating in Vietnam for more than 30 years and wishes to continue investing long-term in Vietnam.
The General Secretary suggested that the Group pay attention to investing in strategic infrastructure development in Vietnam, especially social housing projects, housing for workers, and infrastructure of industrial parks, contributing practically to improving people's quality of life.
Receiving Mr. Lee Chong Min, Chairman of CMIA Capital Partners Group, the General Secretary welcomed the investment plan of the high-tech agricultural ecological urban area project in Cu Chi district (HCMC) of CMIA Fund.
Mr. Lee Chong Min said that the Group hopes to receive support to speed up the project approval process, approve CMIA as the overall investor for the development of the complex project "Ho Chi Minh City Eco-Urban-Agricultural Technology" and consider some incentive mechanisms for businesses.

General Secretary To Lam said that Vietnam is very interested in investing so that Ho Chi Minh City can be the driving force for the sustainable development of the region. Many connecting transport infrastructure projects have created development space, development potential, and new added value for Cu Chi and the entire region.
Ho Chi Minh City is also urgently implementing planning with breakthrough thinking, long-term vision, strategy, and sustainability, to exploit and develop the Cu Chi area.
Relevant agencies will review and evaluate the Investor's proposal, creating conditions for the Group's effective and successful business investment activities in Vietnam.
Receiving Mr. Lim Ming Yan, Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the positive and effective contributions of SBF in connecting Singaporean enterprises to invest and operate in the Vietnamese market.

Mr. Lim Ming Yan shared about the efforts of Singaporean enterprises, especially the four large Singaporean corporations, in promoting FDI in Vietnam and cooperating to support areas where Singaporean enterprises can expand their investment and business activities in Vietnam, especially small and medium enterprises. The General Secretary acknowledged the proposals of SBF to continue to enhance the cohesion between the business communities of the two countries; hoping that SBF will continue to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and localities to effectively implement activities to connect and support businesses of the two countries.
The General Secretary emphasized that the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership continues to develop well in all aspects from politics, diplomacy, economy, cultural exchange, and people-to-people exchanges, gradually becoming more substantial, effective, and profound.
During this visit to Singapore, the two sides hope to promote cooperation, including promoting investment cooperation in areas where Singapore has strengths and Vietnam has potential such as: digital economy, knowledge economy, circular economy, renewable energy, sustainable industrial parks, and green finance.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam will continue to reform administrative procedures and support businesses investing and doing business in Vietnam.
