As a guest on The Khang show episode 54, singer Siu Black freely shared about the time she overcame debt and rebuilt her life in her homeland.

The female singer said the reason she left Ho Chi Minh City to return to her hometown was because she wanted someone to be by her side and take care of her:

"In Ho Chi Minh City, there was no one by my side, only a few friends who loved me very much and encouraged me at that time. But nothing compares to family. At home, I had my second sister, she took care of every meal and sleep, and accepted to be the "trash can" for me to confide in."

However, Siu Black did not want to share much because it would make her sister sadder. In addition, the female singer herself also fell into severe depression:

"But at that time, I didn't want to make my second sister sadder. There were so many unspoken sadnesses that I fell into severe stress. I often withdrew into myself, not wanting to see anyone. Even my room was always dark, I didn't want any light to come in.

After that, I got sick and stayed in bed for 10 days without eating or drinking anything. I thought I would not survive. One time, I dreamed that I was following my deceased mother. My mother told me: "You cannot follow me. You must think of your children. Wherever you fall, you must stand up."

This thought gradually revived me, I started to feel hungry and told my second sister. My second sister cried while cooking porridge because before, I threw up everything I ate, and the IV made my blood flow back up the line.

When my second sister finished cooking the porridge, I could eat 3 spoonfuls without vomiting anymore. I called the doctor to give me an IV, and the blood stopped flowing back up. Only then did I think I was alive."

The "Nightingale of the Mountains" said that now she does not want to hide anything. She feels satisfied with her current life: "Now I do not hide anything, I am much happier and more joyful.

I got married in a church and moved back in with my ex-husband. This is what my second sister always wanted, and now that she's gone, I can do it."

The singer admitted that thanks to the encouragement and care from her family, she was able to overcome the darkest period of her life:

"It took a long time to get out of the negativity to be able to sit here and talk to people. There was a period when I lost my voice and couldn't sing. Maybe it was because I had insomnia, hadn't practiced for a long time, and when I had a sore throat, I often drank ice water. Gradually, I joined the choir and regained my voice."

Regarding her relationship with her husband, a former volleyball player, Siu Black humorously said that at first she was asked by a friend in the same group to "matchmake" her husband, but in the end, the person he noticed was her:

"That year, Vietnam had a cultural and sports exchange program in Cambodia. A girl in the dance group invited me to watch a friendly volleyball match between the two countries. But she didn't watch volleyball but watched a player named Hung.

Knowing that she liked Mr. Hung, after the match I went to see him, very insolent and arrogant because I was asked to do it, not because I liked him, so why should I be so submissive? I said: Your name is Hung, right? A friend asked me to meet you to talk.

But that night he went to find her and asked: "What right do you have to pair me up with someone else?" After that, after returning to Vietnam for 2 days, he went to the Dak Lak music and dance troupe to find me and said he liked me."

Originally a matchmaker, Siu Black tried to avoid the volleyball player's feelings because she was confessed to. However, even though the female singer had fled to her hometown, he still came back to see her and was even taken home by Siu Black's younger brother.

Faced with his persistence, Siu Black was moved and accepted his feelings. Now, the female singer has gone from being a "matchmaker" to becoming the male player's wife.

The couple had a period of divorce but now they have come back together, rebuilding happiness in their old age. The sharing of "Nightingale of the mountains and forests" is both sincere, realistic but also very humorous, bringing many emotions to the audience.
