Multi-events (Parallel viewing) is a new feature officially applied by FPT Play in July, removing "limits" to enjoying sports content. This feature is pioneered on generations of decoders running the iZiOS operating system, including FPT TV 4K FX6, FPT TV 4K, FPT Play HD, FPT Play Box +, FPT Play Box S and FPT Play 2022.
Instead of just enjoying a single match, the Multi-events feature allows fans to watch 5 full matches at the same time. This is FPT Play's solution to the problem of overlapping match times, which occurs in the live broadcast schedule. For example, the matches of the 13th round of the V.League recently all started at 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
Previously, if users wanted to follow the full game, they had to constantly switch between matches or open multiple broadcasting devices at the same time. For fans, both of these options could make it difficult to fully immerse themselves in the passionate football atmosphere.
With the new feature, viewers will be able to easily watch many matches with 2 interfaces that can be easily switched. If you prefer the traditional viewing method, users can choose the full-screen interface. This is a familiar display method, providing a focused experience. Viewers can still switch to other matches using the navigation keys on the remote control.
The highlight of the Parallel View feature is the multi-view interface. Instead of focusing on a single match, the multi-view interface will divide the screen into 2 parts: 1 main viewing frame and 1 sub-frame consisting of 5 smaller screens. Thanks to that, up to 5 live matches can be displayed at the same time on one screen. Users can watch the most notable match while not missing the developments of the other 4 matches in the sub-screen frame.
Talking about the outstanding advantages of the new feature, Ms. Tran Thu Trang - Deputy General Director of FPT Play - said: " Multi-events was built by FPT Play with the desire to break down all barriers when enjoying Vietnam's professional football tournament.
Together with Multi-audio, Multi-events will contribute to the unique and bold changes of FPT Play, helping V.League transform its image and television work to become more professional and attractive. In the future, this feature will be applied simultaneously to entertainment content, movies and TV channels according to a specific roadmap .
Along with the innovations in broadcasting, FPT Play also focuses on production. Specifically, the unit has boldly changed the commentary format from the cabin to live on the field, the number of cameras arranged at the scene has also been increased from 6 to 8, placed at different corners of the field.
Most recently, VPF and FPT Play have also actively implemented specific plans to gradually bring VAR (Video Assistant Referee) technology into operation at V.League. All these efforts are expected to provide a complete football experience for users from this year's season.
