Provincial Youth Union summarizes Youth Month 2024 and deploys key tasks for the second quarter

On the morning of April 12, the Provincial Youth Union held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and youth and children's movements in the first quarter, deploy key tasks for the second quarter and summarize Youth Month in 2024.

In the first 3 months of the year, the work of the Youth Union and the youth and children's movement in the province was comprehensively and effectively implemented. The work of educating political ideology, revolutionary traditions, ethics, lifestyle and disseminating laws to youth and children was focused on by the Youth Union at all levels with diverse forms such as: seminars, dialogues, meetings, journeys to the source, visits to red addresses...

Revolutionary action movements were vigorously deployed, bringing practical results. In the first 3 months of the year, the Youth Union at all levels and the youth of the whole province carried out 1,600 projects and tasks with the participation of nearly 25,000 union members and youths.

Outstanding are the volunteer activities in Youth Month with the theme "Ninh Binh Youth Volunteers for Community Life"; the youth of the whole province have carried out over 380 projects and tasks, planted over 24,000 new trees, provided career counseling to nearly 7,000 young people, introduced jobs to 360 young people and nearly 1,300 young people and children in difficult circumstances with support from the Youth Union at all levels.

Programs to accompany young people in studying, training, starting a business, and establishing a career continue to be implemented. During the quarter, more than VND 11.4 billion was disbursed to 89 project models of union members and young people to start businesses and expand production and business.

In addition, the Youth Union at all levels regularly pay attention to and perform well the role of being in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, taking care of and educating teenagers and children. The work of building the Youth Union, expanding the solidarity front to gather young people, and the Youth Union participating in building the Party and the political system has been focused on. In particular, it has mobilized the establishment of 7 new Youth Union and Association organizations in non-state enterprises, recruited more than 3,600 new members, and admitted more than 600 outstanding members to the Party.

At the conference, leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and District and City Youth Unions focused on exchanging and discussing to effectively implement the work of the Youth Union and the youth and children's movement in the second quarter of 2024. The focus is on organizing exciting activities to celebrate major holidays and events of the country and the province; organizing the 2024 Youth Camp within the framework of the Hoa Lu Festival; implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, organizing the Youth Informatics Contest, activities in response to Workers' Month; coordinating and directing the organization of the 15th Provincial Youth, Adolescent and Children's Creativity Contest...

Provincial Youth Union leaders awarded certificates of merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in Youth Month 2024.

Also on this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Vietcombank Ninh Binh branch to award 6 scholarships worth 30 million VND to students in difficult circumstances; awarded 6 prizes for the contest to vote for the most favorite performance of the Youth Dance Festival 2023; and commended 16 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Youth Month 2024.
