Western intelligence officers killed; Ukrainian soldiers surrender en masse... are notable news in the Russia-Ukraine war bulletin on the morning of January 10.
Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers pay a heavy price
Amidst the thick smoke and fire of the Russia-Ukraine war, a dramatic development took place at the Kursk battlefield. The Ukrainian army, which thought victory was within reach and was cheering and celebrating, was suddenly faced with the appearance of 10,000 Russian soldiers, causing the situation to change immediately.
Ukrainian assault troops had previously conducted several probing attacks and appeared to have discovered a weakness in the Russian defense line. However, before they could extend their advantage, they were ambushed by Russian reinforcements, causing a sudden reversal of the battlefield situation.

The Kursk region has an important geographical location, becoming the focus of fierce disputes between Russia and Ukraine with many small villages caught in the vortex of conflict.
Areas such as Russkoye Porechnoye, Novosotnitsky, Berdin, Malaya Loknya and Novoivanovka in Kursk province are all engulfed in the flames of war.
Here, both sides threw in their best forces. On the Russian side, they mobilized strong units such as the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division and the 2nd Special Operations Brigade of the Special Operations Directorate. of Russia, along with many other forces coordinated operations.
After days and nights of fierce fighting, the Russian Army achieved a great victory, killing 485 Ukrainian soldiers, destroying 10 tanks, 7 infantry fighting vehicles and a large amount of other equipment, and forcing 4 Ukrainian soldiers to surrender right on the battlefield.
The road leading to the small village of Berdin became a "nightmare road" for the Ukrainian army. In just a short distance, 4 tanks, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 16 armored vehicles were destroyed, 1 armored engineering vehicle was blown up into scrap metal, and more than 150 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. Many combat units were trapped in burning armored vehicles and died under the shelling.
Russia launches massive attack, Western intelligence officer killed
A few days ago, the Russian military launched missile attacks on several cities in Ukraine, putting the entire country on a state of national air defense alert. According to relevant information, during this airstrike, the city of Zaporozhye on the southern front line of Ukraine became the target of Russian missiles.
At the same time, the Ukrainian industrial city of Dnipropetrovsk suffered a similar “surgical” attack. The Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform reported that the building of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the center of Dnipro was destroyed. Although the number of casualties is not yet known, several Russian missiles almost completely leveled the Security Service building.

It is worth noting that a day before this “surgical” operation, the Russian Aerospace Forces also conducted a precision airstrike on a large Ukrainian military weapons depot on the outskirts of Dnipro.
The RFAF Tactical Missile Forces attack on the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Directorate building in Dnepropetrovsk used several Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles. Obviously, the RFAF took this attack operation very seriously and could not afford any mistakes.
Footage filmed by Zaporozhye residents shows a missile strike at noon. The missile hit a warehouse, killing two people and injuring nine others. After the missile hit its target, it caused a huge explosion and created a giant mushroom cloud. Glass in nearby high-rise residential buildings was shattered by the shock wave of the missile blast, and the glass at the main entrance of a supermarket near the site of the explosion was also damaged in the blast.
After analysis, experts said that the giant explosion and mushroom cloud have been confirmed, the target of the Russian attack was the Ukrainian ammunition depot. According to some Russian sources, the Russian airstrike on Dnipropetrovsk could be the focus of their operations.
After being hit by a missile, the left annex of the Ukrainian Security Service building exploded, causing a fire. Many fire trucks and ambulances were present at the scene to carry out firefighting and rescue work.
According to foreign media reports, the Ukrainian Security Service building is actually a surveillance agency deployed by the British Military Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Defense in Ukraine. Its surveillance targets are mainly western Russia and Russian-controlled areas in Ukraine.
According to some reports, at least 30 Western intelligence officers were working in a building disguised as a humanitarian aid agency. Now, the Russian missile has leveled half the building and many foreign intelligence officers are surely buried under the rubble.
