The Vietnam team is currently training in Gyeongju (South Korea). This is the final preparation stage for coach Kim Sang-sik to complete the squad and tactics for the Vietnam team before the AFF Cup.

Coach Kim Sang-sik has led the Vietnamese team since mid-May 2024. The Korean captain has only played 5 matches to “test the waters”. The performance of the Vietnamese team during this period has not created a sense of security for fans.
“Coach Kim Sang-sik is building a cohesive playing style for the entire team. During this training session, the players will be able to play together and understand each other better. The Vietnamese team is completing the final stages to prepare for the upcoming tournament," said striker Dinh Thanh Binh.
Talking about the individual and team preparation for the important tournament at the end of the year, the striker of Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club shared: "In the upcoming tournament, the Vietnamese team will face tough opponents. However, the players have also met many stronger teams with better physical condition. Therefore, we will try to show our best performance at the AFF Cup.
Each person on the team has their own strengths, I also have strengths to confidently compete with my teammates. In addition, every day I try to practice and learn more to improve myself. I think that competition will be good for the Vietnamese team before the upcoming tournament."
According to the training plan in Korea, the Vietnamese team will maintain training with a frequency of 2 sessions per day, in which 3 practice matches will take place on November 27 (against Ulsan Citizen FC), November 29 (against Daegu FC) and December 1 (against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC).
