After directly inspecting and reviewing all aspects of preparation, the delegation held a meeting to agree on the contents related to the organization program.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said that the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange is scheduled to take place in early September in Lao Cai Province (Vietnam) and Yunnan Province (China). With just over a month left, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested relevant agencies and units to continue to promote a sense of responsibility, coordinate closely, and speed up the preparation process, focusing on landscape and festival decoration to ensure solemnity.

In addition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also emphasized the propaganda work, ensuring health care, security and absolute safety for people and vehicles participating in the exchange.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of National Defense affirmed that the border defense friendship exchange program is of great significance to promoting the friendly relations and cooperation between the army as well as border protection forces, local authorities and people in the Vietnam-China common border area.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested agencies and units to closely coordinate with the neighboring country to continue to concretize plans and scenarios for both content and program scenarios; at the same time, carry out all-round preparations to be ready to organize the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.
