Thua Thien - Hue: Inauguration of Van Nien clean water treatment plant

On the afternoon of March 30, at Van Nien Clean Water Plant (Thuy Bieu Ward, Hue City, Thua Thien - Hue), Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) inaugurated Van Nien clean water treatment plant with a capacity of 120,000 ^m3 /day and night (phase 1: 60,000 ^m3 /day and night) to ensure safe water supply for Hue City and surrounding areas.

Leaders of Thua Thien - Hue province and the Central Government pressed the button to inaugurate the factory.

The project has a total area of ​​13.5 hectares and is part of the master plan of Van Nien Water Plant, established 115 years ago (1909), upstream of Huong River, 10 km by river from Da Vien Islet, where water quality is less affected by domestic and industrial wastewater.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of 794 billion VND, phase 1 is 600.5 billion VND. The project was started on February 24, 2021 by the EPC contractor consortium TNG - Kobelco Eco Solutions Vietnam.

The Van Nien water plant has just been inaugurated and put into operation.

After more than 3 years of investment and construction, Van Nien clean water treatment plant officially operated and supplied commercial water on September 18, 2023, bringing the total clean water supply capacity of the whole province to 300,000 ^m3 /day and night.
