Duties and powers of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization with the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral issues on implementing the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.
Assist the Prime Minister in directing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues on the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.
Assist the Prime Minister in urging ministries, branches and localities to carry out the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels for the period 2023 - 2030 in accordance with the regulations of the Politburo, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government.
Perform other specific tasks assigned by the Prime Minister.
