(Chinhphu.vn) - At 22:40, July 30, local time (0:10, July 31, Hanoi time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Palam military airport in New Delhi, starting a state visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation at Palam airport, on the Indian side were Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, Director of the Department of Protocol, Ministry of External Affairs of India; on the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Consul General in Mumbai Le Quang Bien and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in India. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to India aims to affirm Vietnam's consistent policy of attaching importance to the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with India. During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to hold talks and meetings with senior Indian leaders such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Chairman of the Indian Senate Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Speaker of the Indian House of Representatives Om Birla. The Prime Minister will also meet with leaders of several Indian political parties; attend forums and talks with businesses of the two countries; receive leading Indian economic groups; deliver policy speeches; visit the Embassy and meet with representatives of the Vietnamese community in India... During the visit, the two sides will consolidate and enhance traditional areas of cooperation, while expanding cooperation in areas where both sides have potential and strengths such as electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, green economy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, new materials, essential minerals... The visit contributes to consolidating political trust, deepening multifaceted cooperation, bringing the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership into a more substantial and effective manner, in terms of politics, diplomacy, security, defense, economy, trade, and investment.
