The Prime Minister approved the election results of comrade Le Hong Vinh to hold the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On January 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decisions approving the election results and dismissing the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

In Decision No. 52/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the results of the dismissal of comrade Nguyen Duc Trung from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term to take on a new assignment.

In Decision No. 57/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on the afternoon of January 3, at the 26th Session, with 100% of the delegates of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 attending the meeting, agreeing by secret ballot, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026, replacing his predecessor, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung.

The Provincial People's Council also conducted the procedure to dismiss the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Nguyen Duc Trung due to being assigned to other work by the competent authority.

Specifically, on November 12, 2024, the Politburo issued Decision No. 1674-QDNS/TW approving Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.

The 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council passed resolutions confirming the results of the dismissal and election of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the provisions of the Law on Organization of Local Government, the results of the election and dismissal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee are approved by the Prime Minister.
