According to the Duc Chinh Agricultural Service Cooperative (Cam Giang), due to the impact of storm No. 3, farmers planted carrots one month later than usual. Therefore, this year carrots will be harvested at the end of the 12th lunar month, about one month later than previous years.
This cooperative currently has 360 hectares of carrots with 9 concentrated production areas, of which 90 hectares are certified to meet VietGAP standards, an increase of 40 hectares compared to 2023. This year's carrot output is expected to reach about 15,000 tons, equivalent to last year. 80% of the cooperative's carrot output is exported, the rest is consumed in the domestic market. The main consumer markets for Duc Chinh carrots are Korea, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
