On September 15, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station said it had just seized a large quantity of moon cakes with foreign writing.
Specifically, at 6:30 a.m. on September 14, the working group of the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force (Department of Drug and Crime Prevention, Border Guard Command) to patrol the border area of Ka Long ward and discovered a car with license plate number 14D-xxxx moving to the Ka Long market area with suspicious signs.
The task force asked the car to stop for inspection. At the time of inspection, the driver confessed to being PQĐ (born in 1993, residing in Luc Chan village, Hai Son commune, Mong Cai city).
Checking the goods transported on the car, the authorities discovered 32 boxes containing about 7,000 moon cakes (weighing about 700kg) wrapped in plastic bags with foreign writing on the front.
Mr. D. could not present documents related to the above goods.
Currently, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the case to handle it according to the provisions of law.
