On March 19, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Customs Department said that in the first quarter of 2024 (from January 1 to March 14), total revenue from customs activities in the province reached 3,832 trillion VND.
This revenue increased by 18.4% compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, value-added tax from imported crude oil of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited accounted for the largest proportion, with 3.17 trillion VND. On average, tax revenue from each imported crude oil shipment reached 396 billion VND.
Meanwhile, revenue from export tax in the first quarter of 2024 also reached a high level of 108 billion VND. The main export items are construction stone products of all kinds; wood chips; re-exported gasoline and oil; cement, iron and steel, construction materials of all kinds; frozen seafood; garment products, etc.

Also according to information from Thanh Hoa Customs Department, the import-export turnover of goods in the first quarter reached 2.948 billion USD, an increase of 23% over the same period in 2023. Of which, import turnover accounted for the majority with over 2 billion USD, an increase of 18.6%, export turnover reached more than 941 million USD, an increase of 32.3% over the same period in 2023.
