Recently, the Party Cell of Viglacera Research and Development Institute successfully organized the Party Cell Congress for the 2025-2027 term. The event took place under the close direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Corporation, marking a determined start for the new term, towards innovation and improving the efficiency of the Institute's operations.
Representing the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Corporation, Comrade Nguyen Quy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Corporation attended and directed the Congress.
The political report of the Congress clearly shows the effectiveness of the Party Cell's comprehensive leadership and direction, bringing a new scientific research atmosphere as well as the effectiveness of applying scientific topics in practice. Thereby supporting the factories in the Corporation to improve product quality, production efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
This Congress of the Viglacera Research and Development Institute Party Cell for the 2025-2027 term both consolidates Party work in the coming period and directs the development strategy of the entire Institute to suit the specific organizational model as well as the new tasks assigned by the Party organization and the Board of Directors of the Corporation.
The reason for this is that since September 2024, the Institute has restructured its organization with a new operating model, including 6 Centers: Construction Glass, Sanitary Ware, Tiles, Automation, Environment, Laboratory Center and 1 General Department. This quickly led to adaptive changes in the content and scope of the Institute's activities.
Immediately after that, in a very short but also very quick period - a series of scientific and technological research tasks associated with practical production activities at units in the Corporation were deployed, bringing positive changes in production as well as the competitiveness of Viglacera products in the construction materials market.
With the attention and direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Corporation and the determination in the direction and operation of the Party Cell of the Viglacera Research and Development Institute, in the term of 2022-2025, a number of results have been achieved in scientific research and application to production activities in a number of important areas of the Corporation - typically: Research on the investment project of pressure belts in shaping products of washbasins and monolithic toilets at My Xuan Viglacera Ceramic Company; Cooperating and consulting with Viglacera Faucet Company in the process of implementing the investment project "Technological innovation to improve the production capacity of the Casting department and the plating department of Viglacera Faucet Company" ; The Institute has coordinated with relevant units to conduct surveys and evaluate material norms in the production of glass, ceramic, ceramic tiles, fired clay bricks and tiles, and minerals, thereby the Corporation has a basis for approval and promulgation.

The Party Cell of Viglacera Research and Development Institute has also directed specialized departments to strengthen research cooperation between the Institute and universities such as: University of Science and Technology, University of Construction... in researching new features for products such as fireproof glass, antibacterial nano for sanitary ceramics. In addition, international cooperation activities with Korea have also been promoted. The task assigned by the Corporation to complete the conditions for investment in the production of construction materials in Cuba and Dominicana has also been seriously and methodically implemented.
The comprehensive leadership role of the Party Cell is also demonstrated in directing the effective implementation of the work of evaluating and controlling the quality of products and raw materials for production units in the Corporation, helping the Corporation promptly issue directive and operational decisions.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Quy Tuan also emphasized that the Party Cell of Viglacera Research and Development Institute needs to continue to innovate in the 2025-2027 term, focusing on key areas such as research and manufacturing of solar tiles, fireproof glass, consulting on technology transfer for environmental pollution treatment, environmental impact assessment at construction material production units and Industrial Park projects invested by the Corporation. At the same time, the Party Cell leads and directs Viglacera Research and Development Institute to promote international cooperation, typically the "Smart Green" project with Keity (Korea), in order to enhance the Institute's position in research and application of science and technology.
With such a large workload, the leadership role of the Party Cell needs to be enhanced and become more comprehensive. Therefore, with a spirit of democracy and high responsibility, the Congress elected comrade Tran Thai Thanh - Director of Viglacera Research and Development Institute to hold the position of Party Cell Secretary of Viglacera Research and Development Institute. term 2025-2027. This result demonstrates the collective's trust and expectation in leadership and management capacity in the new period.
The Congress also approved the Party Cell's Political Report for the 2022-2025 term, which clearly pointed out the achievements and shortcomings that need to be overcome in the coming term.
