Representatives of the provincial Border Guard and local authorities started building a house for Ms. Kan Toi's family.
Two Women's Union member households that received support to build houses are the family of Ms. Pi Riu Thi Nga (born in 1983) and Ms. Kan Toi (born in 1963), both residing in Hong Thuong commune, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province. These are families with especially difficult circumstances, living in dilapidated, makeshift houses, without the conditions to repair or rebuild.
The above support in the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025 is jointly implemented by the Border Guard Command of Thua Thien Hue province, the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and the Women's Union of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The units have supported 120 million VND in house construction costs for 2 households (60 million VND each), the remaining amount is contributed by the families themselves.
In addition, Nham Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Thua Thien Hue province) supported part of the construction labor.
As planned, the two new houses will be built in 4 months, designed as level 4 houses, with corrugated iron roofs, an area of over 50 square meters with full functionality, suitable for customs and habits, and meeting the living needs of each family.

Thereby, encouraging and motivating families of women in the border areas who are still facing many difficulties to overcome hunger and reduce poverty, participate in labor production, and soon stabilize their lives.
