Prime Minister meets with businesses to promote social housing and real estate

(Dan Tri) - As planned, the conference will take place at the end of January with the participation of experts and many large real estate businesses.

The Ministry of Construction has just sent Document No. 02 to the Prime Minister proposing to organize a conference to promote the healthy and sustainable development of social housing and the real estate market.

The conference is scheduled to take place at the end of January, chaired by the Prime Minister, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Ministers of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Finance, State Bank and leaders of many ministries, branches and committees of the National Assembly.

The conference is expected to have the direct participation of 200 delegates who are experts, representatives of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association and many large real estate enterprises across the country such as Vingroup, Sungroup, Novaland, Hung Thinh Land, Becamex IDC Binh Duong, CEO Group, Him Lam, Capital House, Capitaland, Viglacera, HUD, Ecopark...

As planned, the conference will be held directly at the Government Office and online to the People's Committees of 63 provinces and cities across the country.

According to data from the Ministry of Construction, through synthesizing reports from localities, from 2021 to present, nationwide, 644 social housing projects have been implemented with a scale of over 580,100 units.

Of which, the number of completed projects is 96 projects with a scale of more than 57,600 apartments; the number of projects that have started construction is 133 projects with a scale of more than 110,200 apartments; the number of projects that have been approved for investment policy is 415 projects with a scale of more than 412,200 apartments.

In 2025, the Ministry of Construction set out a plan and task to complete an estimated number of social housing apartments of over 100,000 units.
