Accordingly, this year Dak Lak province supports the development of community tourism in Kuop village (Dray Sap commune, Krong Ana district) and Tri village (Krong Na commune, Buon Don district). These are also two ethnic minority villages with their own advantages to exploit community tourism. Kuop village is located next to majestic waterfalls on the Serepok river; while Tri village people settle in the middle of a land long famous as the land of hunting and taming elephants in Buon Don.

Buon Kuop has nearly 70% of the population being Ede and M'nong people, currently preserving 50 traditional long houses, along with many rituals, handicrafts, musical instrument making activities... Near the village are Dray Sap Thuong waterfall and Dray Nu waterfall, two national scenic relics, which attract many tourists.
Buon Tri has 11 ethnic groups living together, preserving 117 traditional stilt houses and community houses. Around the village, there are many tourist attractions being exploited, attracting a lot of visitors with the traditional product of Buon Don elephants.
Ako Dhong village is recognized as the first community tourism village in Dak Lak.

According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak, the department is reviewing to support the development of community tourism with 12 categories according to regulations, the support level for each village is 1 billion VND. At the same time, implementing activities to support the formation of tourism tours, creating conditions for businesses to participate in bringing tourists to villages, coordinating exploitation and product development so that people have income from community tourism...
Previously, in early March, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak organized the announcement of the first community tourism village of this province, Ako Dhong village (Buon Ma Thuot City). From 2023 - 2025, Dak Lak plans to build and develop 5 community tourism villages.
