I see that Vovinam is developing, so I want to guide more people to practice this martial art,” Pal Chhor Raksmy shared. Thanks to the efforts of martial artists, coaches and supporting experts, Cambodia has become the team with the best results in Vovinam, winning 10 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 9 bronze medals. Martial artist Pal Chhor Raksmy was one of the people who brought home gold medals for the team. President of the Cambodian Vovinam Federation - Ou Ratata said that the achievements have far exceeded all expectations of the Federation before the 32nd SEA Games began. This is a testament to the effective cooperation in the field of sports between the two countries. Not only Vovinam, Vietnam and Cambodia have had many effective and practical cooperations in the field of sports, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two countries. Vannphorn Socheata - a Cambodian student at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports said that during the 4 years of studying at the school, he was not only taught and imparted valuable knowledge by teachers but also created favorable conditions and environments for living and studying. Thanks to that, Vannphorn Socheata and 7 Cambodian students of the 54th course have completed their studies well, all of them graduated with honors. Returning to Cambodia with an excellent graduation certificate, Vannphorn Socheata said that he will bring the knowledge he learned at school back to contribute to the country's sports and when he has the opportunity, he will study at higher levels. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent times, the two countries have actively supported each other to improve their professional qualifications through organizing training courses for coaches and athletes, especially in sports that Vietnam and Cambodia have strengths in, regularly exchanging professional skills, and competing to learn from each other's experiences. In 2023, Vietnam will support training for 34 Cambodian athletes (Vovinam and Athletics) so that Cambodia can prepare athletes to compete at the 32nd SEA Games. Currently, there are 13 Cambodian students (8 graduate students, 5 undergraduate students) studying at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. These students are human resources that can improve the development of Cambodia's sports, while contributing to further developing the relationship between the two countries in physical education and sports. According to Cambodian Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron, Vietnam's support has helped Cambodia develop physical education and sports. In particular, Vietnam shared its experience in organizing the SEA Games. Thanks to that valuable sharing, Cambodia did a good job organizing the 32nd SEA Games.
