Because he was so happy when his student won a prize in a traffic safety education competition, a teacher in a mountainous district of Quang Ngai province ran down the school hallway to deliver the news until his sandals broke.
Recently, social networks shared a clip recording the image of a young teacher happily running down the school hallway until his sandals broke when he learned that his students won high prizes in a competition organized by the Department of Education and Training, attracting the attention of many people.
This photo took place at Pham Kiet High School, Ba To mountainous district, Quang Ngai province.
Teacher Nguyen Hoai An, who posted the clip on social media, said that at noon on November 25, the school received notice that 10 students participating in the provincial traffic safety education competition had all won prizes. Of these, 4 were first prizes, 1 was second prizes, and 5 were third prizes.
Because they were so happy, the teachers who were guiding the group of students cheered and ran to each class to inform the students.
Among them was teacher Phan Van Trinh (born in 1995), who was holding a newspaper and running so happily that his sandals broke when two students he guided won first and third prizes.
"When I got the results, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't think of anything else and immediately ran to find the two students I was guiding," Mr. Trinh shared. Because he was so happy, he ran into the wrong classroom and had to go back along the hallway. When he got there, he realized that his sandals had broken off without him realizing it.
This cute image was recorded by a student and sent to the teacher. After that, Ms. An posted it on social media to express her joy and surprise, attracting more than 10 million views on social media platforms.
Everyone couldn't help but laugh at this adorable reaction and praised the teachers in the highlands for their closeness and devotion to their students.
According to Ms. An, Pham Kiet High School is located in the most difficult area of Ba To district. Most of the students are ethnic minorities, and their lives are still difficult. Therefore, achieving high results in a provincial competition shows the students' efforts in studying and training. At the same time, this is also a great joy for the teachers and the school.
Mr. Ngo Van Hai, Principal of Pham Kiet High School, said that he was very happy that all 10 students of the school who participated in the traffic safety competition recently won high prizes. Notably, Pham Kiet High School is the only unit with 100% of the students participating in the competition winning prizes.
According to Mr. Hai, Mr. Trinh, Ms. An and 3 others in the guidance group are all young teachers, who have only worked at this highland school for about 3 years. The enthusiasm of the young teachers has contributed to helping the school achieve many outstanding results.
"The school is small and located in a difficult area, but thanks to the efforts of the teachers, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school ranked first in the emulation cluster of mountainous and island districts. The Department of Education and Training is proposing to award the school an excellent emulation flag," Mr. Hai said excitedly.
