According to the press release of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, on the 6th working day, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission, read the Politburo's Report on the planning of the Party Central Committee for the 2026-2031 term; establishing Subcommittees to prepare for the 14th Party Congress. The Party Central Committee discussed and gave opinions on these contents.
Also on the 6th working day, under the discussion chaired by Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member - Prime Minister, the Party Central Committee discussed the Summary of 20 years of implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2003 of the Party Central Committee, 9th tenure, on promoting the strength of great national unity for a rich people, strong country, fair, democratic and civilized society.
Regarding the work of planning personnel for the new Central Executive Committee, in his opening speech at the 8th Central Conference on October 2, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stated: Personnel planning is the first step, of great significance, the basis for doing well the training, fostering, mobilizing, appointing, and using cadres. Based on the special significance and importance of strategic-level personnel planning, on July 7, based on the working regulations and Regulation No. 50-QD/TW dated December 27, 2021 of the Politburo on personnel planning, the Politburo issued Plan No. 17-KH/TW on planning the 14th Party Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat for the 2026-2031 term. It clearly defines the viewpoints, principles; purpose and requirements; standards; quantity and structure; subjects and ages; process of introducing, approving planning and personnel records; number of discoveries, introductions to be included in planning...
Accordingly, in the past time, based on the discovery and introduction of Party committees and organizations in the entire political system, the Steering Committee for the planning of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for the 14th term, 2026 - 2031, has urgently and seriously coordinated with the functional agencies at the Central level to review, appraise, and report to the Politburo for consideration and direction to further complete the planned planning of the 14th Party Central Executive Committee to submit to the Central Committee for consideration and comments at this Conference.
