TPO - On March 24, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a decision approving the enrollment plan for grade 10 high school in the 2025-2026 school year in the province, including enrollment for grade 10 public high schools, Lam Son specialized high schools, ethnic boarding high schools, private high schools and continuing education programs at high school level.

Accordingly, for public high school grade 10 admission, each student can register for a maximum of 2 wishes to attend public high schools in the area where the student usually resides or in another place suitable to the student's living conditions and learning ability. The admission method is that each candidate must take 3 exams: Literature (120 minutes), Math (120 minutes, English (60 minutes); all exams are calculated on a 10-point scale and have a coefficient of 1; the exam content is within the general education program at the secondary level, mainly grade 9. The exam takes place over 2 days, June 3-4, 2025. The time for considering and announcing the admission results is before July 31, 2025.

For Lam Son High School for the Gifted, each candidate must take 4 exams, including 3 general exams of the public high school exam for the grade 10 exam: Literature, Math, English and 1 specialized subject exam according to their registered wishes. The specialized subject exam time is 150 minutes; the exam score is calculated by a coefficient of 3; each specialized subject has a separate exam according to the secondary school curriculum, the exam content ensures the selection of students with talent in the specialized subject.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Lam Son High School for the Gifted will enroll 12 classes (420 students, 35 students/class), of which Math, Literature and English are specialized (2 classes for each subject), the rest are specialized in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, History, Geography (1 class for each subject).

After the exam results are available, Lam Son High School for the Gifted will organize an admission exam before enrolling in grade 10 of ethnic boarding high schools and grade 10 of public high schools. For candidates who are not admitted to Lam Son High School for the Gifted, the results of the 3 general subject exams will be used to enroll in grade 10 of ethnic boarding high schools or grade 10 of public high schools that the candidates have registered for admission.
