2025 National Women's Football Cup: Thai Nguyen T&T wins, Than KSVN shares points on opening day

The 2025 National Women's Football Cup will take place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from March 25 to April 6, 2025. The teams are divided into two groups (3 teams each) and will compete in a round-robin format at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and be ranked.

Group A includes: Thai Nguyen T&T, Son La and Ho Chi Minh City; Group B includes: Than KSVN, Hanoi and Phong Phu Ha Nam. The four teams ranked first and second in the two groups will compete to determine the Champion, Second, Third and Fourth teams. The two third-placed teams in each group will compete in a match for Fifth and Sixth place. To spread the image of the tournament and help the audience watch the matches, the organizing committee will broadcast 10 matches live on the VFF Channel Youtube channel.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Deputy Director Le Thi Hoang Yen, leaders of the VFF and head coach of the Vietnamese women's football team Mai Duc Chung. The 2025 Women's Football Cup is one of the steps to prepare the Vietnamese women's team, including the 33rd SEA Games (Thailand).

Immediately after the opening ceremony, two matches took place between Phong Phu Ha Nam-Than KS Vietnam and Thai Nguyen T&T-Son La. The result was that Phong Phu Ha Nam drew 0-0 with Than KS Vietnam. Meanwhile, Thai Nguyen T&T won a resounding 4-0 victory.
