Previously, Mr. Nguyen Mot - Senior Director in charge of Culture and Sports of THACO said: "Dong Nai Newspaper's persistent maintenance of a playground for children who are passionate about football throughout the province every summer for the past 20 years is a very valuable work and THACO wishes to accompany Dong Nai Newspaper. Thereby, contributing to promoting school football in particular and the sports movement in general to develop more and more strongly".
In addition to the school football tournament, THACO has also actively accompanied Dong Nai Newspaper in the scholarship program "Overcoming difficulties for the future" for many consecutive years, thereby supporting nearly 3.2 billion VND, awarding more than 1,600 scholarships to students.
The 20th Dong Nai Newspaper Cup - CP Vietnam Children's Football Tournament took place from August 8 to 14, with the participation of 11 children's football teams, including primary school students from districts and cities in Dong Nai province. The tournament was divided into 2 groups and played a round-robin to calculate points, with 2 teams from each group entering the semi-finals. The champion team will receive a prize of VND20 million, along with a trophy, flag and gold medal. The second-place team will be awarded VND15 million, along with a flag and a silver medal. The two third-place teams will each receive VND10 million, a flag and a bronze medal. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also award style prizes with a prize of VND3 million, along with individual prizes such as Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer and Best Player of the tournament. After 19 times of organization, the Dong Nai Newspaper Cup - CP Vietnam Children's Football Tournament has affirmed its position as an important sporting event, contributing positively to the development of school football in Dong Nai province. |
