On February 3, 2025, THILOGI held the inauguration ceremony of the 50,000-ton Wharf, Chu Lai International Port, and exported the first shipment of the year of At Ty 2025 of THACO's member corporations to many countries around the world.
Chu Lai International Port is a class 1 seaport according to the Master Plan for the Development of Vietnam's Seaport System for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister. In order to develop the port commensurate with its scale and cargo output, becoming an important trading hub and logistics center of the Central and Central Highlands regions, connecting Southern Laos and Northern Cambodia, on March 7, 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province issued a Decision approving the investment policy and at the same time approving the investor for the project to expand and upgrade Chu Lai port, belonging to Tam Hiep port area with a total investment of 1,590 billion VND.

Wharf No. 2 (Wharf 50,000 tons) is a 365m extension downstream, connecting to Wharf No. 1, increasing the total length of Chu Lai Port to 836m, the depth in front of the wharf reaches minus 11.6m. With a shore-connected wharf structure, using advanced steel pipe sheet pile technology, the wharf ensures the reception of general cargo ships and container ships with a capacity of up to 50,000 tons. In addition, THILOGI has invested synchronously in infrastructure and modern loading and unloading equipment, helping to increase the loading and unloading capacity of the port to nearly 100 containers/hour, 3 times higher than that of Wharf No. 1.
Chu Lai International Port is strategically located, connecting smoothly with the main routes of Quang Nam and the Central region. This is an important gateway, synchronously connecting with the whole country along the North-South axis and international inter-regional routes along the East-West economic corridor. At the same time, the port is the center of the multimodal transport model, including road - seaport - maritime transport, connecting railway and Chu Lai airport.
With the goal of developing into an international logistics center in Chu Lai, Quang Nam to reduce costs equally between the North and the South, THILOGI focuses on investing in in-depth development, completing key projects, investing in infrastructure, equipment, thereby contributing to perfecting the logistics supply chain, promoting production and effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of the region.
On this occasion, more than 300 containers of goods from THACO's member corporations were exported through Chu Lai international port to many countries around the world, bringing with them confidence and expectations for a new year with new successes. Accordingly, THACO AUTO exported 120 Kia Frontier trucks to the Middle East, 400 Kia New Carnival body paint sets to India and 45 Peugeot Django 150cc motorbikes to Cambodia. In particular, the Middle East is a completely new market with high requirements for quality standards. The products are manufactured on modern technological lines at factories belonging to THACO AUTO's production center in Chu Lai, meeting the strict standards of partners KIA and Peugeot. THACO INDUSTRIES exported various types of semi-trailers to North America, household appliances to the US, industrial equipment components to Australia and industrial equipment components and spare parts to Korea and Finland. The products are manufactured on advanced technological lines, with strict quality control, meeting international standards, especially in demanding markets such as North America, Australia, Europe, etc. THACO AGRI exported nearly 4,000 tons of fresh fruit to Japan and China. By promoting the application of mechanization and biotechnology to create quality products, THACO AGRI is a strategic partner of many large enterprises in the Asian market.
The completion and operation of the 50,000-ton wharf and the export of a large shipment at the beginning of the year have affirmed the production capacity, product quality and services of THACO's member corporations, demonstrating their determination to participate in the global value chain, making THACO a leading multi-industry industrial corporation in the ASEAN region, while contributing to attracting investors to Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Quang Nam and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality and neighboring areas.
