On the morning of May 23, training ship No. 83 named Thich Ke Quang of the Chinese Navy officially docked at Tien Sa port (Son Tra district, Da Nang city), starting a visit to Da Nang city.

The welcoming ceremony was held at Tien Sa wharf. On the Vietnamese side, there were representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, the Command of Naval Region 3, the Border Guard Command, the City Military Command, the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense and the Foreign Affairs Department of the Command of Military Region 5.
The Chinese side included representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang and representatives of a number of Chinese businesses, organizations and communities in Vietnam.
The ship Thich Ke Quang (number 83) includes 476 officers, sailors and students of the Dalian Naval Academy - Chinese Navy, led by Major General Su Yinsheng, Political Commissar of the Dalian Naval Academy.
During the three days, from May 22 to 25, officers and crew of the Chinese Navy ship will visit and pay courtesy visits to the leaders of Da Nang City, the Command of Military Region 5; the Command of Naval Region 3; visit tourist, historical, cultural sites... of Da Nang City; visit a number of Chinese enterprises and organizations in Quang Nam province; conduct joint formation exercises with ships of Naval Region 3.
According to the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the visit of the training ship Thich Ke Quang in Da Nang demonstrates the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China. At the same time, it helps both sides enhance mutual understanding and trust, and is an opportunity to promote comprehensive strategic cooperation as well as bilateral defense cooperation and cooperation between the two countries' navies.
