"Fifty years after the war ended, Bamboo Travel's 16-day family tour of Vietnam offers travelers the chance to explore a slice of the country's history - as well as its diverse natural environment - at a leisurely pace. Kids will be enthralled by traditional water puppet shows in Hanoi and a cyclo tour through the winding streets of the capital's Old Quarter," National Geographic recommends. In addition to the Hanoi tour, the magazine also recommends other slow-paced Vietnam itineraries that travelers should try: a visit to the ancient capital of Hue to learn more about Vietnam's history; a tour of the islands of Ha Long Bay, where travelers can snorkel, kayak and swim in emerald waters.
