Donating books and "Cooking for children" in Yen Bai

NDO - The Youth Union of Kim Dong Publishing House, Vietnam Expressway Corporation, and Vietnam Paper Corporation held a charity program "Lighting up childhood dreams - Cooking rice for children" and donated more than 1,000 books to Lam Giang Primary School, Van Yen District, Yen Bai Province.

This is a meaningful and practical activity during Youth Month 2025, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025).

Lam Giang Primary School is located nearly 40km from the center of Van Yen district, including 1 central school and 2 satellite schools, with many difficulties and shortages in facilities. The school currently has a total of 738 students, of which more than 50% are ethnic minorities (Dao, Mong, Tay), 270 students are from poor and near-poor households.

Representatives of the Youth Union of the units gave gifts to the students.

The program donated more than 1,000 books to build a Kim Dong bookshelf at the central school library, along with many gifts of food, essential supplies, and teaching and learning materials with a total gift value of up to 150 million VND.

During the program, the units coordinated to organize the program “Cooking rice for children” at the satellite school of Lam Giang Primary School (in Truc Trong village). Youth union members of the three units directly prepared 154 nutritious meals for the students.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hiep, Party Cell Secretary and Principal of the school shared: “The program has brought a lot of joy and great encouragement to teachers and students of Lam Giang Primary School. Thousands of books and gifts given not only have material value but also spiritual value, adding motivation - lighting up dreams, encouraging teachers and students of Lam Giang Primary School to overcome difficulties, compete with good teachers - good students, and reap many meaningful achievements in the new school year 2025”.
