Shining with her talented performance and convincing responses in the final night, Doan Thi Xuan Linh won the highest title of Miss Diplomacy - Miss DAV 2023 and won the "Miss Intelligence" sub-award.
The new beauty queen was born in 2003, majoring in International Relations at the Diplomatic Academy.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Xuan Linh said that she feels happy and grateful to those who love and stand by her throughout this journey. The contest is a dream that Xuan Linh has cherished for a long time, but she used to be quite self-conscious because she thought she did not have enough qualities in appearance and intelligence to participate.
"However, from the moment I put my name on the application form, I surpassed myself and stepped out of my comfort zone. The contest opened up new opportunities and new journeys for me to explore and improve myself," the female student said.

Bringing Tuong and Hau Dong to the stage
In the final night, Xuan Linh received many compliments for her performance of an excerpt from the play "Mother Goddess of Heaven" recreating the image of Holy Mother Lieu Hanh descending to teach the people during the time when the country was facing foreign invasion.
Previously, in the semi-final night, the female student brought a performance of the spirit medium Co Be Thuong Ngan, which was meticulously prepared from the audio to the visual part.
"These are two performances that contain a lot of my passion, time and dedication," the new beauty queen revealed.
Xuan Linh said, "Practicing the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Worship" has profound meaning and is the theme throughout her journey at the Miss Diplomacy 2023 contest.

Compared to the semi-finals, Xuan Linh had only two weeks to prepare for the talent show of the final night, with the accompanying prop being a Tuong mask. This was a huge challenge because she had never been exposed to this type of folk art.
"After a rather vague period at first, I was lucky to receive valuable advice and started to perform a talent show that combined the image of the Mother Goddess with traditional Tuong art. This was quite a risky decision because before, the Tuong art form had never featured the image of the Mother Goddess," she explained.
Looking at Xuan Linh performing smoothly on stage, few people would have guessed that this was her first time performing a play and that she had very little time to practice.
Through her performance, Xuan Linh wanted to commemorate the times when Mother Goddess came to earth to save sentient beings and people during times of war and chaos, and to revive the nation's culture and morality.
In addition, Xuan Linh also learned piano since she was a child, but she has not had the opportunity to show this talent in beauty pageants.
Direct admission to Diplomatic Academy
During 12 years of high school, Xuan Linh was an excellent student for many years and was admitted directly to the Diplomatic Academy, a school known for its high entrance scores and good training quality.
In grade 12, the female student received a scholarship from the China Foreign Affairs Academy, but decided to study in Vietnam. Currently, not only is Xuan Linh fluent in English, she also has an HSK 5 certificate in Chinese, which is also her first foreign language at school.
Besides studying, the new Miss Diplomacy has many outstanding achievements in the work of the Youth Union and youth movements. She is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Youth Union of the Diplomatic Academy.
Xuan Linh's bilingual performance in the final night showed her confidence and demonstrated the beauty and talent of the female student of the Diplomatic Academy.

Titles always come with pressure
After the beauty pageant, Xuan Linh felt grateful when she returned to school, everyone gave her lots of congratulations and encouragement. She considered this as a motivation to try harder but also understood that the title always comes with pressure and responsibility.
"After becoming a beauty queen, I always remind myself to try to study hard, improve myself, get along with everyone and be aware of my duty to spread good values to the school and further to the community," she said.

When asked if Xuan Linh, many beauty queens and runners-up in recent beauty contests started out as school beauty queens, thought about participating in a bigger arena, the female student said she wanted to prioritize her studies and fulfill her duties as Miss Diplomacy.
"If I have enough fate, I will try my hand at a new journey," she affirmed.
In the immediate future, Xuan Linh will focus on studying and doing an internship in her last two years of university. Besides, she hopes to promote the image of Diplomacy students as a young, dynamic, talented generation with a rich national identity.
"I hope that I and other Diplomatic students will make efforts to preserve and spread the cultural beauty and heritage values of the country to international friends, demonstrating the Diplomatic identity," the new beauty queen shared.
