Previously, with the family's production land area, Mr. Lo Van Bun in Cooc Noc village, Na Tam commune mainly planted corn and rice but the economic efficiency was not high; food was only enough to serve the family and livestock. With the encouragement of the Party Committee and the authorities of the village and commune, Mr. Bun boldly converted 1 hectare of land to grow cassava.

“My family is supported by the State with seeds and fertilizers for growing this cassava plant, and the output after harvest is guaranteed, so my family is very secure and hopes that it will bring higher income than corn and rice. Currently, my family's cassava area is growing well and will be ready for harvest in a short time,” Mr. Bun added.

Also boldly switching to new crops, Mr. Lo Van En's family in Na Hieng village, Na Tam commune chose chili to improve their income. According to Mr. En, with more than 3 sao of chili of his family, through the first harvest, it shows that chili is 2-3 times more economically efficient than growing rice and corn. His family plans to expand the area to have higher income.
