Driver hid more than 110kg of fireworks in a container truck to bring across the border

On the evening of September 3, the leader of the Quang Binh Provincial Border Guard Command said that the unit had just coordinated to arrest a case of illegal transportation of fireworks across the border.

At around 7:35 a.m. the same day, the Quang Tri Border Guard force coordinated with the Cha Lo International Border Gate Customs Branch to inspect and discovered 88 boxes of various types of fireworks hidden on the container truck with license plate 29C-318.xx, with a total weight of more than 110 kg.

The container driver, Tran Van Dong (born in 1987, residing in Nam Linh commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province), confessed to transporting from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

The Quang Binh Provincial Border Guard Command has directed the Cha Lo International Border Gate Border Guard Station and other forces to make a record of the arrest of the offender red-handed.

The authorities simultaneously detained and sealed the exhibits and vehicles, conducted a complete investigation, and handed them over to the authorities for handling.
