The 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army is recreated in digital space, arousing pride in the achievements that our Army has achieved.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the open digital platform YooLife launched a project to recreate the journey of building, fighting and growing up of the heroic People's Army. This project takes the audience back to the founding day of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the first main force, also the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army - QĐNDVN) in the early years of the war against French colonialism, or the climax of the resistance war against the US, saving the country... with details of historical events and milestones. The special highlight of the project is that most of the landmarks associated with the history of the birth and development of the QĐNDVN are recreated in digital space. This is the largest system of historical "red addresses" ever. During 6 months, the project team traveled to many places in the country to record and recreate historical landmarks associated with the development journey of our Army, from the Tran Hung Dao Special National Relic Site (Nguyen Binh, Cao Bang), Dinh Hoa Safety Zone (ATK), Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Relic Site, Quang Tri Citadel, to Phu Van Lau in Hue and Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City. With this elaborateness, the unit has tried to fully and seamlessly recreate the typical milestones in the journey of construction, development, fighting and growth of the Vietnam People's Army, giving viewers a complete, intuitive and vivid perspective. Sharing with Dan Tri , Mr. Nguyen Manh Tung, founder of the open digital platform YooLife, emphasized that this project not only restores relics but also recreates the heroic history of the Vietnamese military. "The past is the stake that helps anchor the kite of the future. With respect and enthusiasm, we have carefully researched each event and each historical site to recreate it in the most vivid and authentic way, worthy of the heroic stature that our ancestors have created," Mr. Tung shared.

Not only taking advantage of VR360 technology, which is its strength, the unit has actively coordinated with research institutes and History departments at universities across the country to collect tens of thousands of visual documents related to the Vietnam People's Army in the form of flipbooks and 3D museums. Typical coordinating units include the Institute of Military History, the Faculty of History of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Hanoi Pedagogical University, the Military Library, the Vietnam Military History Museum and other museums in the Vietnam People's Army Museum system... Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Tran Huu Huy, Institute of Military History - General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, who participated as YooLife's professional advisor on this project, said that military history, in addition to collecting, storing and preserving, should widely share its values to the public, because according to him, "sharing is the most sustainable way of preservation". According to Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Tran Huu Huy, the project to recreate the journey of building, fighting and growing up of the heroic Vietnam People's Army this time should not be limited to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Army, but will be an important source of documents for long-term research and exploitation thanks to the value it brings. In particular, users will experience the space recreating the "Dien Bien Phu in the air" campaign that took place over 12 days and nights in late 1972. The unit uses extended virtual reality technology to recreate the historic decisive battle, with the MIG 21 aircraft, number 361 participating in the combat process and ending with the shooting down of the B52 aircraft. With YooLife, history is no longer a quiet memory but has become a vivid journey, where everyone can explore and join the flow of heritage at any time, anywhere.
