At the 22nd Session, the 14th Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution approving the project policy to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 330, from Ba Che town to Provincial Road 342. The project is not only the expectation of the local people but also a new driving force to promote the socio-economic development of the mountainous district of Ba Che.
Provincial Road 330 was built to the standard of a grade 6 mountainous road, with a road surface width of 3.5m. After more than 25 years of use, it has been repaired many times, and invested in a replacement bridge to prevent flooding, but up to now the road no longer meets the development needs of the locality. Mr. Ninh Hong Quan (Thanh Lam commune, Ba Che district) shared: Previously, the means of transport on the road were mainly motorbikes and small trucks, but with the speed of forestry production of the people, the implementation of infrastructure projects in the area being deployed more and more, the number of heavy-duty vehicles circulating has seriously degraded Road 330. On steep sections, hairpin bends, and narrow roads, vehicles have difficulty moving and avoiding, and traffic safety is impaired.
Implementing the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 330, from Ba Che town to provincial road 342, the project starts at Km10+700 (Ba Che town), ends at the intersection with provincial road 342 (Thanh Lam commune). The project has a route length of 23.5km, total investment of no more than 990 billion VND with the scale of a grade III mountainous road, ensuring the standard of 2 lanes, roadbed width of 9m, road surface of 8m. Sections through urban areas are fully invested, longitudinal ditches, sidewalks, trees, lighting.
To handle the bends, the project route will be straightened and adjusted to ensure technical factors, using river bridges, viaducts, and retaining walls to reduce longitudinal slopes, expand visibility, and landscape along the route. Implementing the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, the unit assigned as the investor is currently reporting to the Provincial People's Committee to arrange capital to implement steps in investment preparation.
Delighted that provincial road 330 is being prepared for investment and upgrading, Mr. Me Tien Dao (Thanh Lam commune, Ba Che district) excitedly said: I believe that the project will create important conditions to reduce transportation costs of agricultural and forestry products, facilitate the trading of goods, and also have an important meaning in improving the quality of people's lives.
Provincial Road 330 is the main traffic axis passing through 5 communes and towns of Ba Che district. The expansion and upgrading of the road will be an important condition to gradually complete the synchronous traffic system with the recently completed Provincial Road 342 to connect the center of Ba Che district with the highland communes as well as connecting with the provinces of Bac Giang, Lang Son, and Ha Long City.
Mr. Khieu Anh Tu, Vice Chairman of Ba Che District People's Committee, said: The project has been implemented as the desire of the people and Ba Che district for many years. The project, when completed, will reduce the distance in travel time between communes and the district center as well as between Ba Che district and other localities. The project will be a new driving force for economic development and investment attraction in the area, so Ba Che will focus on coordinating with departments, branches and units assigned to the investor to carry out site clearance work to ensure the project starts as soon as possible.
