Exciting sports festival of Vietnam inland waterway industry

On the morning of July 22, the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration (Ministry of Transport) organized a sports festival for the whole industry in Can Tho city.

This is an activity to welcome the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration Trade Union and celebrate the 67th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Inland Waterways industry (August 11, 1956 - August 11, 2023).

The sports festival attracted more than 100 officers, civil servants and workers in the inland waterway industry to participate.

The sports festival attracted more than 100 athletes who are officials, civil servants, employees, workers, and union members working at 10 units under the Inland Waterways Administration.

At the same time, the sports festival was also held in the Northern region with 14 affiliated units participating.

Mr. Tong Hoang Kha, Deputy Director of Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, delivered the opening speech at the sports festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the sports festival, Mr. Tong Hoang Kha, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, said that to welcome the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration's Trade Union and celebrate the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Industry's Traditional Day (August 11, 2056 - August 11, 2023), the Administration has implemented many related programs and plans, including this sports festival.

Athletes make an effort in the final seconds of the tug of war match.

The activity will be a playground, at the same time contributing to creating a strong change in the industry's sports movement and gradually developing extensively, gradually improving quality. Thereby, contributing to improving the health of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the industry.

The two teams competed fiercely in badminton.

This is also a healthy and useful playground to continue responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" contributing to promoting the sports movement in units in particular and the whole industry in general", the Deputy Director of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration shared.

At the sports festival, athletes competed in three events: table tennis, badminton and men's and women's tug of war. The competitive atmosphere was exciting, with athletes enthusiastically competing in each event.
