To pay tribute to the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on the 49th day of his passing, on the afternoon of September 6, the National Assembly Affairs Party Cell (Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council Party Committee) organized a thematic activity "General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with elected agencies and elected representatives".
Attending and directing the meeting were comrades: Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Vinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies; Le Van Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and other officials and party members in the entire Party Committee. Also attending the thematic meeting were comrade Tran Dinh Dan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, former Head of the National Assembly Office.
To respectfully commemorate the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, cadres and party members attending the party cell meeting observed a minute of silence to commemorate the late General Secretary.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an outstanding leader, who devoted his life to the country and the people, a great and loyal personality in the hearts of every Vietnamese person in general and the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province in particular. With 80 years of age, nearly 57 years of Party membership, 14 years as General Secretary, more than 2 years as President, more than 5 years as Chairman of the National Assembly, the General Secretary has always been concerned and devoted to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, he has led the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to achieve many great achievements. Throughout that journey, the General Secretary has always had special affection for the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province when he visited and worked in the province three times. The trust, expectations and advice of the General Secretary are a great source of encouragement for Quang Ninh province to move forward.
At the meeting, cadres and party members watched films about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Quang Ninh; listened to comrade Tran Dinh Dan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, former Head of the National Assembly Office, discuss and share memories of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the activities of the National Assembly, the stories and teachings of the late General Secretary for elected bodies and elected representatives. At the same time, they enthusiastically discussed and expressed their own views and determination to implement the advice and instructions of the late General Secretary.
Speaking at the thematic meeting, comrade Le Van Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, suggested: Each cadre and party member should continue to raise awareness, imbibe the advice and instructions of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, especially the advice when the late General Secretary visited and worked in Quang Ninh province. From there, continue to make efforts, practice, contribute, be worthy of the trust and love of the Party and the people, make important contributions to the development of the country, build a model, civilized, and beautiful Quang Ninh province; affirm the role and responsibility of the people's representative.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, affirmed: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an outstanding theorist of the Party, has made great contributions to building and perfecting the Party's innovation policy on the foundation of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought; is an exemplary model in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.
The National Assembly Affairs Party Cell is the first Party cell in the Provincial Party Committee to organize a thematic meeting on the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The thematic meeting “Comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with elected bodies and elected representatives” has a very special meaning as it is held exactly on the 49th day of the death of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. This is an opportunity for Party members in the National Assembly Affairs Party Cell (the Party Committee of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council) to express their feelings, remember Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, honor and show gratitude for the great contributions of the late General Secretary.
He hoped that, from the profound thoughts and viewpoints of the late General Secretary, Party members in the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council in particular and elected representatives in the whole province in general would continue to study, learn, make great efforts and determination, properly apply them to real life as well as complete assigned tasks, adapt to changes, and enhance endogenous strength to meet the requirements in the new situation.
He suggested that Party cells and organizations in the province continue to replicate the thematic meeting on the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to create a clear change in awareness, unity of will and action in the entire Party, high consensus among cadres, Party members and people, contributing to building a model, civilized and modern Quang Ninh province.
