Shark Tank Vietnam is the Vietnamese version of the famous TV show Shark Tank. This is a reality TV show about calling for investment capital for startups, present in 51 countries worldwide.
Coming to Vietnam in 2017, after 6 seasons, Shark Tank has introduced 291 business models to investors (Sharks) and successfully connected 174 deals. After participating in Shark Tank Vietnam, more than 60 startups have received capital from investors inside and outside the program.
Shark Tank season 7 will feature 7 “sharks”. These include 3 familiar faces: Shark Binh (Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chairman of NextTech), Shark Hung (Mr. Pham Thanh Hung, Vice Chairman of Cen Group) and Shark Minh Beta (Mr. Bui Quang Minh, Chairman of Beta Group).
In addition, the program also features 4 new "sharks" including Shark Nguyen Phi Van (Chairman of Go Global Franchise Fund - investment fund for startups, small and medium enterprises in the franchising and licensing industry), Shark Le My Nga (Chairman of Weangels Capital Investment Fund), Shark Nguyen Van Thai (Co-founder & Vice President of Thai Huong Group and Shark Tillman Schulz (entrepreneur of MDS Group - a large multi-industry corporation in Germany).
Shark Tank Vietnam season 7, produced by the Center for Digital Content Production and Development (VTV Digital) and TV Hub Company, will air at 8:30 p.m. every Monday on VTV3, starting from July 29, 2024.
In addition to its role as a fundraising channel, Shark Tank Vietnam has also become a launching pad for startups to reach 39 million television viewers and tens of millions of consumers on digital platforms. Through the program, many startups have recorded dramatic growth in revenue, profit, customers, interactions, visits, etc.
According to Shark Tank representative, in the context of Vietnam's economy starting to show signs of recovery, Shark Tank Vietnam season 7 returns with the goal of connecting Vietnamese startups with domestic and international investors, aiming to bring Vietnamese products and intelligence to conquer the market and reach out to the world.
AI will soon bring Vietnam's digital economy to the 220 billion USD mark . Vietnam's digital economy is forecast to grow 11 times, reaching the 220 billion USD mark by 2030. In particular, artificial intelligence (AI) will contribute greatly to the digital economy.
