The 2024 Industry and Trade E-commerce and Digital Economy Forum is coming soon

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Official Dispatch No. 8232/BCT-TMĐT to: Department of Industry, Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Electricity Regulatory Authority, Import-Export Authority; Trade Promotion Agency; Institute for Industry and Trade Policy and Strategy Research; Ministry Office, General Department of Market Management; National Competition Commission; Industry and Trade Newspaper; Industry and Trade Magazine; Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities on coordinating the organization and participation in the E-commerce and Digital Economy Forum of the Industry and Trade sector in 2024.

Accordingly, the 2024 Industry and Trade E-commerce and Digital Economy Forum will have the theme: Digital transformation towards green and sustainable transformation, including: 01 Plenary session and 02 thematic workshops: Topic 01: "Digital transformation - Green transformation in production and energy"; Topic 02: "Trends of sustainable e-commerce development in the digital age".

The Forum is scheduled to be held on November 21, 2024, at the Foreign Affairs Hotel, 33C Pham Ngu Lao, Hanoi.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the organization of the Forum aims to support businesses in the industry and trade sector in implementing digital transformation. The Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to coordinate with relevant units to organize the Vietnam Digital Industry and Trade Summit 2024.

The forum also aims to assess and discuss the current status of digital transformation of enterprises in the industry and trade sector and propose solutions as well as ways to coordinate and mobilize resources to help enterprises transform digitally and apply e-commerce to create momentum for the development of the digital economy in the industry and trade sector in a focused, efficient, green and sustainable direction.

To prepare for the organization and development of the Forum's content, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests that the Ministry's Office, Industry and Trade Newspaper, and Industry and Trade Magazine coordinate to promote and publicize the Program at the headquarters, website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and on the media; send leaders to participate as speakers and coordinate discussion sessions.

The Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority, the Electricity Regulatory Authority, the Oil, Gas and Coal Department, the Energy Saving and Sustainable Development Department; the Industry Department, the Science and Technology Department actively participated in coordinating with the E-commerce and Digital Economy Department in developing content, sending leaders to participate as speakers, coordinating discussions in the Plenary session and thematic workshop 01: "Digital transformation - Green transformation in production and energy.

The Import-Export Department and the Trade Promotion Department cooperated with the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy in developing content, sending leaders to participate as speakers, coordinating discussions in the Plenary session and thematic workshop 02: "Trends of sustainable e-commerce development in the digital age".

Other units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinate with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to deploy and implement the Program.
