Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu has announced she will skip Wimbledon on her home turf after undergoing surgery on both her hands and ankles.
"The last 10 months have been difficult as I dealt with bone injuries in both hands," Raducanu shared on his personal page after completing the surgery. According to Sky Sports, the 20-year-old tennis player underwent minor surgery to completely treat the injury that appeared last year.

Raducanu announced last week that she would withdraw from the Madrid Open. She will miss Roland Garros and the entire grass-court season, including Wimbledon. The chances of the Briton returning for the North American hard-court season, including the US Open, are also slim.
"I tried to control the pain but surgery was the only way," Raducanu wrote on Instagram with a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed. She said the injury forced her to cut back on her training volume and the number of tournaments.
Raducanu is one of the most impressive champions in US Open history when she won the 2021 title at the age of 18. She was the first qualifier to win the tournament without dropping a set.
The tennis player with a Chinese mother has declined since that milestone. Raducanu has not been able to maintain stable performance, has changed coaches frequently and has suffered many injuries. According to British media, Raducanu has suffered 10 injuries since July 2021.
Raducanu is likely to drop out of the world's top 100 in the coming weeks. She is currently ranked 85th, the highest among British women's tennis players. Former British number one Heather Watson is currently outside the WTA top 150.
