Singer Quach Beem has just introduced the MV “Ha Giang oi” made in Ha Giang with famous tourist destinations such as Ma Pi Leng pass, Nho Que river, Lung Cu flagpole, Dong Van stone plateau... This is one of the songs he composed about 63 provinces and cities.
The song “Ha Giang oi” was composed by Quach Beem in 2018, the first song in Quach Beem’s non-profit music project of composing 63 songs about 63 provinces and cities. As soon as it was released, the song unexpectedly created a big boost for the Ha Giang tourism industry.
Musician Quach Beem shared: “Although I was not born and raised in Ha Giang, I love this land very much. In 2018, the first time I set foot in Ha Giang to give gifts to children, I realized that I needed to widely promote it to everyone to make this place more beautiful and more developed. The winding mountain passes, the villages perched on the rocky plateau, the innocent smiles of children, the kind faces of ethnic elders and the unique cultural features of the northernmost region of the country inspired me to write the song “Oh Ha Giang”.
After 3 years of writing “Oh Ha Giang”, Quach Beem has just returned to this place. He realized that Ha Giang is changing and developing day by day. The number of domestic and foreign tourists coming to Ha Giang is increasing. The places of Ha Giang that Quach Beem included in the song such as: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Nho Que River, Lung Cu Flagpole, Dong Van Stone Plateau... have become very famous destinations. This made Quach Beem decide to spend all his money to make a music video to introduce more widely the land and people of Ha Giang.
“The re-filming of the MV “Ha Giang oi” this time was renewed, investing in both music and images. The first time, I wanted to experience more reality, so I filmed simple, rustic footage to post on social networks and spread it to everyone. Unexpectedly, the song was widely received by the audience. That is why I decided to return to Ha Giang again to make a well-prepared, quality music film… to give to the audience and promote the image of Ha Giang” – Quach Beem said.
A scene was filmed at the ancient Dong Van market. |
The male singer shared that he and his crew had to work continuously for 15 days to complete the MV on schedule.
There were days when the whole crew had to wake up at 2am to get to the filming location. There were scenes that required the mobilization of hundreds of extras, including local people and ethnic minorities. The most difficult part was when filming panoramic scenes at Lung Cu Flagpole, Nho Que River, Dong Van Stone Plateau, etc., no matter how rugged the terrain was, the majestic beauty of this place had to be captured.
In addition, during filming, due to having to move too much on difficult terrain, rivers, mountains, etc., the equipment was damaged quite a lot, some members got sick, which greatly affected the progress, but the whole crew encouraged each other to overcome. Fortunately, the crew received full support from tourists and local people.
“I want to contribute my small part through a non-profit music project, promoting the beauty and developing tourism in Vietnam, starting with the MV “Ha Giang oi” and hope to receive the support of the audience” – the male singer expressed.
