The book “The feelings of the people in the country and international friends towards General Vo Nguyen Giap” is the memories of veterans, researchers, journalists, writers, artists… and the feelings of friends from all over the world towards General Vo Nguyen Giap, which has been published in Vietnam News Agency and Quang Binh Newspaper for 10 years since the day the General passed away.
Colonel Pham Van Truong, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Publishing House, said that with the desire to burn a stick of incense respectfully to General Vo Nguyen Giap on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the General's passing, the book "The feelings of the people in the country and international friends towards General Vo Nguyen Giap" was published and released as a tribute and pride for a famous general who lives forever with the country. The content of the book was selected from articles published on VNA. Quang Binh Newspaper hopes to bring readers new discoveries and new perspectives on the life and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
"Those are very honest and simple articles, expressing the feelings of the people in the country and international friends about the Elder Brother of the Vietnam People's Army, the Commander of commanders, the political commissar of political commissars, a general of the people whom they love and admire very much," Colonel Pham Van Truong shared.
As a companion in collecting, selecting, editing, publishing and introducing this precious book, journalist Cao Truong Son - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Binh Newspaper expressed that the authors are none other than the citizens in the country and international friends who expressed their feelings for the General since the day he passed away. The General lies there, peacefully in the heart of Mother Earth, serene, tolerant and extremely close. Every time people in the country and international friends return to Quang Binh, they wish to come to Vung Chua - Yen Island to express their admiration for the talent and virtue of the General, Commander-in-Chief of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
