This consensus was reached after discussing aspects related to the proposal of Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Cong Huong, comparing with the regulations on research integrity for the implementation of scientific and technological tasks funded and supported by the Nafosted Foundation, issued together with Decision No. 10 dated February 10, 2022.

Based on the recommendation of the Scientific Council, the Fund will carry out procedures for Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Cong Huong to stop participating in the Scientific Council of Mathematics for the 2022-2024 term according to regulations.

On October 31, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Cong Huong - a member of the Scientific Council - requested to withdraw from the council on the grounds that he had scientific research cooperation with Ton Duc Thang University and Thu Dau Mot University, which affected the reputation of the council. At that time, Associate Professor Dr. Huong was a full-time lecturer at Quy Nhon University.

The National Foundation for Science and Technology Development affirms its strong support for ensuring research integrity in science and technology activities, contributing to creating a standard research environment and international integration in Vietnam.

Previously, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Cong Huong said that when he was a full-time lecturer at Quy Nhon University, he signed a scientific research cooperation contract with Ton Duc Thang University and Thu Dau Mot University.

Quy Nhon University does not have a regulation that permanent lecturers are not allowed to sign scientific research contracts with other schools. The school only requires lecturers to complete teaching and scientific research tasks within the school.

Here, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Cong Huong always completes his tasks, with thousands of hours of scientific research left. He admits that he cooperates in scientific research with the two above-mentioned schools to earn extra income and improve his family's life.

However, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Cong Huong also admitted his mistake of cooperating with another school without informing the school's head.

Currently, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Cong Huong works at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry.
