Quang Ngai aims to disburse 100% of the public investment plan by December 31, 2024. Provincial leaders have directed localities and investors of key projects to make efforts to speed up progress and complete projects early.

With a total investment of more than 300 billion VND, the Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center is an important project chosen by Quang Ngai province as a project to welcome the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. This is also the place where major events of the province will be held in the coming time. After more than 1 year of construction, the project is on schedule and will be completed in the third quarter of 2024. Along with speeding up the progress to complete the project early, 6 months ahead of schedule, the investor and contractor are focusing on human resources and equipment to implement the project with the highest quality and aesthetics, so that the project will be a symbol of Quang Ngai in the coming time.

Quang Ngai province's total public investment plan for 2024 is more than 6,300 billion VND. In early April, the construction of key projects such as Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road, Tra Khuc 3 bridge, and the North-South Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway was bustling.
Sharing with reporters, Mr. Vo Thanh Trung - Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project started construction in March 2023, with a total investment of 300 billion VND. The project is invested by the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board. According to the plan, the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project will be completed in 2025. Therefore, the unit has directed contractors to focus on human resources and equipment to speed up the construction progress. Up to now, after more than a year of construction, the main items such as the Convention and Exhibition Center building have been completed. The project is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2024.
At the two projects of Tra Khuc 3 Bridge and Dung Quat - Sa Huynh Coastal Road invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction and Investment Project Management Board, up to this point, the construction units have carried out construction to ensure the progress signed with the investor.
The Dung Quat-Sa Huynh coastal road project, phase IIa, component 1 has a total investment of 1,200 billion VND with a length of more than 13km, passing through two districts of Tu Nghia, Mo Duc and Quang Ngai city.
In order to ensure the disbursement progress of public investment capital in 2024, in mid-February 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 33 on the detailed disbursement progress of public investment capital in 2024 with the goal of completing the disbursement of 100% of the public investment capital plan in 2024 by December 31, 2024. Investor units that do not fully disburse the assigned public investment plan in 2024 without force majeure reasons will be reviewed and submitted to competent authorities for decision on handling responsibilities, cutting the medium-term public investment capital plan from the central budget and provincial budget corresponding to the amount of capital plan assigned in 2024 but not yet disbursed.
