On the afternoon of March 7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province coordinated with Saigon Medical Group to organize a signing ceremony to implement a program to examine, treat, and provide free consultation on eye diseases for the poor and people in difficult circumstances in the province, period 2025 - 2030.
Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee including Mr. Nguyen Xuan Men and Ms. Dinh Thi Bac, along with leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province; leaders of Saigon Medical Group, Saigon Song Han Eye Hospital.
Accordingly, the content of the two sides' signing focuses on promoting eye health care for the community, through activities of examination and testing, screening for eye diseases, providing free medicine; supporting the cost of cataract surgery for people with difficult circumstances in the province in the period of 2025-2030.
At the signing ceremony, Saigon Song Han Eye Hospital, representing the Saigon Medical Group system, presented 10,000 free eye examinations and 120 free cataract surgeries to disadvantaged patients in the province with a total value of 1 billion VND.
On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also awarded a Certificate of Merit to Saigon Medical Group for its achievements in implementing social security work in Quang Ngai province.
