(Fatherland) - Da Nang continues to affirm its attractiveness as a destination for MICE and wedding tourism for Indian tourists at SATTE Fair 2025.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism said that for the third consecutive time, the unit organized a booth at the SATTE 2025 Fair to promote the potential market of India, which is currently ranked 4th in the top 10 international tourist markets to Da Nang.
SATTE 2025 will be held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, India from February 19 to 21, 2025.
Accordingly, SATTE 2025 Fair will take place at India Expo Mart Exhibition Center, Greater Noida, India from February 19-21, 2025, organized by Informa Markets and considered the largest fair in South Asia, SATTE 2025 is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees, 1,800 exhibitors and more than 1,000 international and domestic Indian buyers from more than 120 countries.
The joint booth of Da Nang FantastiCity, Vietnam Airlines and Aeroprime has an area of 78m², located at B72, Hall 2, with the participation of Da Nang and Vietnam tourism businesses in general, equivalent to the size of the booth in 2024.
"India is one of the potential tourism markets for Da Nang in the tourism recovery period and is expected to continue to grow in the coming time. We expect the presence of Da Nang tourism booth at SATTE 2025 to continue to enhance destination recognition and connect more closely with tourism partners," said Ms. Huynh Thi Huong Lan, Deputy Director of Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, about participating in SATTE 2025.
According to Ms. Lan, the attractiveness of Da Nang destination and tourism trends will continue to be promoted by the tourism industry at SATTE as well as in other promotional activities targeting this market, especially MICE, golf and wedding tourism.
Activities such as traditional Ao Dai performances, Vietnamese coffee experiences, lucky draws, and check-in photos to receive souvenirs will be held at fixed times to attract partners to interact and learn about the destination.
In 2024, Da Nang welcomed more than 222,000 Indian visitors, accounting for 5.3% of the total number of international visitors to Da Nang and nearly 50% of the total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam. Notably, compared to 2019, the peak period of tourism before the COVID-19 pandemic, the total number of Indian visitors to Da Nang increased more than 13.5 times.
With the number of Indian visitors to Da Nang reaching 50% of the total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam, Da Nang is considered a must-see destination on the journey to Vietnam, even though direct flights between Da Nang and Indian metropolises have not been restored.
Also during the SATTE Fair, Da Nang connected with airlines to strengthen partnerships and promote direct flights from India to Da Nang. At the same time, Da Nang tourism industry met with wedding tourism organizations and wedding event organizers to launch a wedding tourism program to Da Nang in 2025.
