On October 30, the leader of the People's Committee of Kien Giang town (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh) said that although the water had receded, the roads were still impassable. The local rescue team used canoes, along with neighbors and relatives, to cross the flood to bring the deceased to the funeral.
Floodwaters submerged all roads, and families of those who died in the flood had to row boats to take the bodies for burial.
The funeral procession had to be rowed 5 kilometers. "Although it was quite difficult, we also told everyone to do their best to care for the deceased," the leader added.
It is known that Kien Giang town has 3 cases of death in floods, including the case of Ms. Do Thi D. who had a stroke and fell into flood water.
